MONTEPULCIANO D'ABRUZZO DOC 2018

The wines of the De Cerchio family are all characterized by a very specific style. It seems that nothing is left to chance, the entire range is in fact so clear and fresh. Colle Maggio can certainly be defined as the flagship. In this bottle you have a wine with an excellent quality-price ratio and you always have the impression of drinking a superior category wine. Typical of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, the wine appears very dark and strong in the glass. On the nose the typical dark red fruit is immediately in the foreground, which harmonizes wonderfully with the delicate spiciness of the wood and is truly ideal for the first sip. On the palate it is wonderfully juicy and dense. Red berries, a little vanilla, a pinch of coffee and sweet tannins. Just as an excellent Montepulciano should be. The finish is warm and flattering. A wine to fall in love with. If you consider the price range, it's a bit surprising. It goes great with a barbecue in the summer and with an outdoor fire in the winter.
