Alce Nero organic whole durum wheat couscous is produced exclusively with 100% Italian durum wheat, grown by our farmers. Couscous is a typical food from North Africa, made up of grains of durum wheat semolina. The production process of Alce Nero couscous traces the traditional phases of preparing this product, taking inspiration from how Maghreb women originally made it at home. It is in fact a mixture of semolina and water, which is then steam cooked and finally dried with hot air. Alce Nero organic wholemeal durum wheat couscous is naturally rich in fibre. It is ready in 5 minutes and is ideal if served with stewed meat, boiled vegetables and fish, as in the North African tradition.
